tv headphones for hard of hearing
help for the hard-of-hearing?

My mum is slowly going deaf so she needs the TV turned up high. my dad has good hearing [except when mum asked him to help with the dishes of course] so the high volume drives him nuts. is it possible to have a wireless headphones set for my mum that allows my dad to hear the TV as well, maybe through the TV speekers, maybe through their home-cinema system?
any suggestions would be good [besides for a brass ear-trumpet, i already tried suggesting that]
to clarify. she is gettign her hearing checked but the NHS wont supply stuff like this.
the headphones might be easy to source, the problem i see is being able to have wireles headphones for my mum whilst my dad can s till listne to the TV normaly
if u just plug in headphones this usualy turns off the tv speekers

Like your Mom, I am losing my hearing. Plus I have three noisy kids who constantly interrupt when I want to watch tv. So I use the subtitles whenever possible. This way I don’t have to crank the volume.

In fact, very late at night — like now — I can put on a movie, mute the sound and only use subtitles so as not to wake anyone. (It’s after 1am)
