What is a reasonable deadline for TV, PS2, computer games and D / S for 14 years of age during summer vacations?
Mom says 3 hours total.
Three hours is plenty. Perhaps with an option to earn more money by doing extra chores, tasks, etc? You could make the relationship between twelve fifty-nine, ie an hour of homework for one hour of TV / game time. This summer, my kids have a long list of things they need to lead out before you have "unlimited" TV / PC / video game time. Usually it takes at least half the day and more to get things done. But always have the option to work hard and finish quickly, it never ceases to amaze me how they will procrastinate, which of course gives them less time overall. But it keeps me from having to scold, lollygag and if they take all day to do homework, that's a little less time will pass in front of the TV later. Works for me!
