
THUNDER TAKES YOU OUT TO THE OLD BALL GAME MAY 28 IN MCKINNEY
FRISCO, Tex. (May 2, 2008) -- Trading batting helmets for football helmets for one night, the Frisco Thunder will be on hand to support
the McKinney Blue Thunder baseball team at its game against the Corpus Christi Beach Dawgs on Wednesday, May 28. Game time is 7 p.m. at the
Ballfields at Craig Ranch (corner of Alma and SR 121) in McKinney, Tex.
Thunder owner Jake Reed will serve as the Blue Thunder's first base coach in the early part of the game, which will be preceded by members of the Thunder football squad throwing out the first pitch.
In addition, the Frisco Thunder dance team will be on hand as well as Crash The ThunderCat, who will not doubt prove to be an interesting companion to the Blue Thunder's official mascot --Thunder Dog.
The Blue Thunder are an independent professional minor league baseball team playing in the newly formed Continental Baseball League. The Blue Thunder won its league championship last year while playing in Tarrant County. Former Texas Rangers infielder Curtis Wilkerson is the
team's manager.
