MASCOT BIRTHDAY, YOUTH SPORTS CELEBRATION ON TAP FOR SUNDAY'S THUNDER GAME
FRISCO, Tex. (April 2, 2008) - The Frisco Thunder will celebrate youth sports and its mascot's "birthday" Sunday when the Thunder hosts the Odessa Roughnecks at 3 p.m. at DeJa Blue Arena in the Dr. Pepper StarCenter.
All participants in youth sports leagues, both boys and girls, will receive a $5 discount off their tickets for the Intense Football League matchup.
In addition, it's the birthday for Crash The ThunderCat, the cool, collected mascot cat of Frisco. Crash will be joined by several of his mascot friends for some fun antics and cake for all members of his Kids Club.
On the field, the Thunder (4-1) face the Roughnecks (0-2) as they continue their unique seven-game home stand in the first half of the 2008 season. Odessa started the season off slowly during its two-game Alaska swing, but is looking to change its fortune and reestablish its run for a league playoff berth.
Tickets start at $10. For more information, contact (972) 731-6968 or visit www.friscothunderifl.com.
