Do you think Sears would fix my cracked LCD TV?
I recently cracked my Sony Bravia 32″ LCD TV while moving it for cleaning. It fell and caught the corner of the cabinet it stands on. It will turn on and display part of the picture but there is a very cracked area where the impact occurred. I bought the TV about about 2 years ago from the Sears I used to work at and bought an extended warranty for either 3 or 4 years with it. Do you think Sears will cover it? I’ve heard some horror stories about Sears repairs so I’m worried about whether my extended warranty will cover accidents. I’m still paying on the TV so it would be useless to buy a new one.
I don’t think the Sears warranty will cover accidental damage so long after purchase. Your best bet would be to take a picture of the damage around to different repair shops and see how much it would cost to fix.
