POST-GAME NOTES
MORRIS NUMBERS: After a relatively quiet outing against CenTex, WR Richard Morris posted numbers the Thunder has come to expect from him. This was the third time this season he has posted both double-figure receptions (10) and more than 100 receiving yards (143).
HE’S NOT EXACTLY VINCE YOUNG: When Wes Cooper kept it for a 2-yard gain on a fourth-quarter first down, it was his first carry for positive yardage of the season
SMALL WORLD: WR Jason Deml grew up in Alaska and played high school ball at Colony HS. Saturday’s effort against Fairbanks (7-80-3) was more of a presence then against the Wild (3-40-1) … Fairbanks QB Bo Bartik was the quarterback for Daytona Beach in the now-defunct WIFL, where Thunder spokesperson Dan Ryan served as Director of Communications.
DOUBLE-FIGURES: This was the third time this season K Dennis Hopovac has reached double-figure scoring with 12 kicking points. He had 14 against Alaska two weeks ago.
